HCA Florida Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Coordinator to manage transfer center operations, patient placement, and hospital-to-hospital coordination. You will collaborate with referring facilities, physicians, and internal teams to optimize patient flow and bed management while upholding patient safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires an RN, acute care experience, EMTALA knowledge, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license in the states where the facilities are located.
• Minimum 3 years of related clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Knowledge of EMTALA and hospital operations.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs transfer center functions with centralized patient placement in a timely, customer centered manner.
• Coordinates transfer of emergent, urgent and elective patients to final destination facilities.
• Facilitates patient throughput with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Maintains accurate data collection in patient records and center workflow systems.
• Communicates professionally with referring facilities, physicians and receiving facilities.
• Participates in daily bed management meetings and cross-functional collaboration.
• Adheres to EMTALA and compliance policies and ensures quality initiatives.
