Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Transfer Center to extend care across physical, mental, and spiritual healing. You will educate patients and families, lead Level I nurses, and use electronic resources to uphold best practices.

The role emphasizes professionalism, adherence to ANA standards, and mentoring colleagues while coordinating interfacility transfers and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Passing score on NCLEX.
• Active Maryland State nursing license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and family through the continuum of care.
• Serve as a role model to Level I nurses and use electronic resources for best practices.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adhere to ANA standards.
• Develop a plan of care according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students and team members in patient-centered care.
• Facilitate interfacility transfers and enter orders.
