Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking an RN Transfer Center Supervisor for full-time night shifts. The role coordinates high-acuity patient transfers, admissions, and inter-hospital movement, using clinical judgment to route patients to the appropriate unit or facility.

You will work with physicians, nursing leaders, social work, case management, ED staff, and regional hospitals to ensure safe, efficient transfers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Two or more years of nursing experience are required.
• Two or more years of leadership experience are required.
• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse license required.
• Basic Life Support—CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate placement and transfer of high-acuity patients.
• Oversee Staffing Coordinator and Patient Registrar.
• Evaluate patient needs and determine appropriate department or unit.
• Collaborate with Social Work, Case Management, physicians, nursing leadership and ED staff.
• Ensure timely bed placement and accurate transfer documentation.
• Maintain records of transfers, admissions and placements.
