Purpose of Position
Responsible for assessing and evaluating academic transcripts, transfer credits, and other relevant documents for current students who transferred from an educational institution.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for consistently meeting or exceeding established minimum performance metrics in rule building, ensuring a baseline level of proficiency in key performance indicators.
- Analyze and evaluate course information using TES (CollegeSource), course syllabi, college catalogs, academic transcripts, TCCNS, and other applicable resources to determine accurate transfer equivalencies.
- Apply critical thinking, analytical judgment to independently evaluate coursework and determine appropriate transfer equivalencies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date transfer evaluation records and ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of course rules, equivalencies, and student transfer records in accordance with institutional and regulatory standards.
- Responsible for staying current with Texas General Education Core and Texas Common Course Numbering System (TCCNS) requirements, transfer articulation agreements, and all Texas Higher Education Coordination policies and guidelines.
- Demonstrate working knowledge and proficiency in the student information system and transfer evaluation processes, including the ability to accurately create, review, and apply transfer rules, equivalencies, and transfer credit in accordance with established procedures.
- Stay updated on evolving educational trends and participate in professional development activities to enhance skills related to transfer evaluation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree and two (2) years of experience in a position requiring considerable record-keeping accuracy; OR four (4) years of an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with various office products such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Experience and knowledge of My Mav (PeopleSoft), TES (CollegeSource), and Microsoft Teams.

- Ability to utilize required software programs and integrated student information systems.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of federal, state, and institutional policies and guidelines.
Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday; 8:00am through 5:00pm
