Job summary

Banco Santander SA in the United States is seeking an Associate, Transaction Management – SCIB Lending (incl. Leveraged Finance and Structured Finance) to perform an individual contributor role within US SCIB COO Lending Solutions.

The role focuses on ensuring lending transactions are closed per approvals, documentation, KYC/AML, and readiness standards. The Associate will coordinate across Business Lines and support front-to-back processes, enhance control environments, and handle amendments

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
• Strong transaction execution, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement and understanding of control requirements.
• Ability to manage execution activities across multiple complex closings and amendments under time pressure.
• Strong understanding of Lev Fin and Structured Finance structures, credit agreements, funds flows, allocations, and agency processes.
• Experience with Loan IQ or comparable loan booking / servicing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Transaction execution, closing management support for Leveraged Finance, Structured Finance, and other loan types from pre-approval to close.
• Coordinate closing checklists, conditions precedent, documentation status, and funding readiness with relevant teams.
• Amendments and lifecycle events support, including waivers, extensions, repricings, and assignments.
• Contribute to procedures, playbooks, training materials, and control improvements; onboard new team members.
