Job summary

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) is seeking a Trainmaster to optimize yard and road operations, ensuring safe, cost-effective daily plans. You will lead by example to promote a strong safety culture and coach Train & Engine personnel across the terminal.

The role requires experience in rail operations, supervision, and the ability to manage incident investigations while maintaining compliance with CROR/GCOR rules and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand safety instructions and operating rules.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve yard/road fluidity to meet LOSP/OP.
• Oversee train movements in yard and mainline with safe, tactical execution.
• Accountable for safety, service, productivity and financial metrics for the terminal.
• Lead safety compliance and provide corrective actions as needed.
