Job summary

CPKC is seeking a Road Foreman in Kansas City, MO, to educate, monitor, and promote safe work practices for operating crews. You will oversee locomotive engineers and conductors, ensuring compliance with operating rules and safety policies while improving efficiency across the territory.

The role involves coordinating training programs, field evaluations, and end-to-end safety initiatives, with on-call support for 24/7 operations and potential relocation within the North American network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum of 2+ years as a qualified railway locomotive engineer or as required by regulations.
• Strong knowledge of railroad operating rules and GCOR.
• Familiarity with collective agreements governing engineers and conductors.

Responsibilities

• Perform locomotive engineer train crew field evaluations.
• Plan and deliver remedial training for deficiencies.
• Coordinate new hire training for conductors and engineers.
• Oversee triennial recertification training for conductors and engineers in area of responsibility.
• Provide on-call support and emergency response for 24/7 operations.
