Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) is seeking a Section Foreman to lead a track crew in maintaining and improving rail safety and reliability. The role requires hands-on supervision of routine and complex track work, including rails, ties, switches, ballast, and related components, with flexibility for nights and weekends in a 24/7 operation.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid Class B CDL, and 1+ years overseeing track restoration plus 2+ years of track maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Valid Class B CDL
• 1 year overseeing railroad track restoration
• 2+ years performing track maintenance, mainly in terminal areas
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather

Responsabilités

• Supervise track crew during maintenance and repair operations.
• Inspect rail tracks regularly to identify defects and assess integrity.
• Uphold safety regulations to maintain a safe workplace.
• Monitor progress of construction/maintenance projects to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to secure track access and time.
• Perform physically demanding outdoor labor and respond to 24/7 emergencies.
• Report progress to Roadmaster and maintain clear communication with leadership.
