Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking a Training Specialist II within the Organizational Development unit of the Department of Human Resources. The role delivers employee development training citywide, including management and staff across the City of Atlanta/Department of Aviation.

This in-office position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in employee development. The incumbent will manage LMS duties, needs assessments, and varied training delivery methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, Business or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of employee development training experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates Nontechnical Core Skills training for all employee levels of City of Atlanta/Department of Aviation.
• Uses needs assessment tools to identify training needs and measure effectiveness.
• Supports online New Hire Orientation (NEO) and LMS-related duties.
• Presents training programs using multiple formats including in-person and virtual facilitation.
• Ensures LMS User Manuals are current and trains staff on LMS usage.
