Job summary

The City of Atlanta's Organizational Development unit seeks a Training Specialist II to deliver employee development training citywide, including management and staff across departments. You will implement, administer, and evaluate development programs, leveraging LMS tools and multiple delivery formats.

This in-office role requires collaboration with senior training staff, strong adult learning knowledge, and the ability to meet deadlines while staying current with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Education and experience aligning with adult learning and development.
• Minimum 3 years of employee development training experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates Nontechnical Core Skills training for all employee levels.
• Uses needs assessment tools to identify training needs and program effectiveness.
• Supports online New Hire Orientation (NEO) initiatives.
• Assesses training needs via surveys, interviews, focus groups and manager input.
• Presents training programs using multiple formats (in-person, virtual, group discussion).
• Updates LMS User Manuals and schedules using MS Outlook.
• Collaborates to update LMS documentation and training materials.
• Evaluates training programs via surveys and 60/90-day follow-ups using Kirkpatrick model.
• Keeps knowledge of latest trends in professional training and development.
• Interacts with senior staff to confirm objectives and constraints.
