Job summary

City of Atlanta seeks a Training Manager II to lead development and delivery of comprehensive training programs for city staff. You will partner with organizational development leadership to assess needs, design content, and measure impact on performance.

The role manages a team including facilitators and instructional designers. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience and at least 3 years of people-management, including remote teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, HR, Business, or Organizational Development.
  • 8 years in employee development, training, or related field with leadership experience.
  • 3+ years of direct people-management experience, including remote teams.
  • 6+ years in employee development or training in similar roles.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs for City employees.
  • Lead needs assessments to improve employee performance and organizational goals.
  • Partner with HR to implement development initiatives and leadership programs.
  • Develop content and materials for staff training and possibly conduct courses.
  • Establish processes, policies, and reporting for training operations.
