Job summary

City of Atlanta seeks a Training Manager II within the Organizational Development unit of the Department of Human Resources. You will plan, develop, implement, and administer training programs for City employees and partner with leadership to advance organizational development initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in employee development, training, organizational development, or related field.
At least three (3) years of direct people-management experience, including remote employees.
At least six years of experience in employee development or training in similar roles.
ATD certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, deliver, and assess training and development programs for City managers and employees.
Lead needs assessments to improve employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
Partner with HR and leaders to implement organizational development initiatives.
Incorporate best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
Develop content, methods, and materials for training staff; may conduct courses.
Establish evaluation methods for orientation, performance management and development.
