Job summary

Alto is seeking a Training Lead to drive daily operational excellence in Los Angeles. This hands-on, frontline leadership role will oversee a 15-17 trainer team, manage staffing, onboarding, and scheduling, and ensure an elevated candidate experience in a high-volume market.

The role is in-person in Los Angeles, CA, with responsibilities spanning coaching, employee relations, facility operations, and process improvements to scale our driver training efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior people management experience with direct reports
• Experience managing a team of ten or more
• Comfortable managing a high-volume, time-sensitive operation
• Strong scheduling and resource-allocation judgment
• Ability to hold a standard, executing consistently while advocating for change
• Clear communication across trainers, candidates, HR, and leadership
• Comfort with data and reporting, using metrics to spot and report trends

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 15-17 trainers, driving performance and growth
• Oversee employee relations for the in-market training team
• Manage end-to-end lifecycle for in-market trainers
• Foster team culture to enhance engagement and retention
• Manage trainer scheduling and shift assignments within budget
• Balance coverage for peak volumes, callouts and holidays
• Resolve day-to-day scheduling escalations and issues
• Elevate candidate and trainer experience in training facilities
• Oversee Driving Assessments operations, staffing, flow and resolution
• Implement and maintain training content, tools, and process changes
• Apply assessment rubrics with consistency and sound judgment
• Escalate market-specific issues to Training Manager
