Job summary

Caregiver is seeking a Training Coordinator to join our Learning & Development team. You will drive onboarding, compliance training, and professional development to prepare staff for delivering person-centered services.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of training, teaching, or facilitation experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required training certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging new hire orientation and required training programs that set employees up for success from day one.
  • Serve as the Lead Trainer for required certifications, including Aegis Crisis Intervention, CPR, BLS, First Aid, Fire Safety, and HCSP.
  • Coordinate all aspects of Aegis Crisis Intervention Training, including scheduling classes, managing enrollment, coordinating instructors, tracking certifications, maintaining training documentation, and communicating with operational leaders.
  • Schedule training sessions, manage class rosters, and monitor attendance to support hiring and operational needs.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure employees and contractors remain compliant with required certifications and training standards.
  • Create engaging learning experiences that accommodate diverse learning styles and encourage participation.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through observation, knowledge checks, and participant feedback while identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Support a positive onboarding experience that reinforces our culture, expectations, and commitment to person-centered care.
  • Partner with supervisors to ensure new employees successfully transition into their assigned programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and organizational training requirements.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to support workforce development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
We're looking for someone who is:

  • A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and learning new systems.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.

Physical and Travel Requirements

This position includes a combination of classroom instruction, administrative work, and travel to training locations. Candidates should be able to:

  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Sit, stand, walk, and perform occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday.
