Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance and repair on trailers and related equipment.

You will troubleshoot issues, complete service orders, and maintain alignment with JB Hunt standards. The role includes mentoring trainees and participating in OE training while following all safety protocols. The position emphasizes outdoor work, multi-shift availability, and potential eligibility for relocation within our network.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 2 years of semi-trailer maintenance/repair experience.
• At least 1 year of DOT/FHWA inspections and air brakes experience.
• Able to supply basic tools or purchase through toolbox program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment.
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and perform intermediate repairs per specs and SRT guidelines.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring trailer technician trainees.
• Participate in OE training for repairs.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Maintain accurate work orders and ensure compliance with company requirements.
