Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician II to perform intermediate maintenance, service and repairs on J.B. Hunt trailers and equipment.

Under routine supervision, you will troubleshoot issues and complete fleet maintenance to meet J.B. Hunt standards at all times. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and safety compliance, with opportunities to mentor trainees and participate in OE training programs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 2 years' experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair.
• At least 1 year of DOT and FHWA inspections experience.
• Able to supply basic tools or purchase through toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate maintenance and repairs on trailer equipment per manufacturer specs and standards.
• Troubleshoot trailer issues, complete work orders, and adhere to SRT and warranty guidelines.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring trailer technician trainees.
• Participate in OE training for repairs and stay current with fleet requirements.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain safe working environment.
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers.
