J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. seeks a Trailer Technician II responsible for intermediate maintenance, service and repair of trailers and equipment, troubleshooting issues, and completing fleet maintenance to meet company standards.

The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, knowledge of fuel systems, air brakes, and inspections, with opportunities for career growth and incentive programs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with 2 years of experience in semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or military equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements
• Able to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if needed

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient knowledge of preventative maintenance and standard repairs related to trailer equipment
• Troubleshoot trailer issues and perform intermediate-level repairs to specifications
• Assist with onboarding and mentorship of trailer technician trainees
• Participate in OE repairs training
• Follow all shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers
