Job summary

Central Transport is seeking skilled diesel mechanics to sustain our fleet across the United States and Canada. We offer industry-leading pay starting at $31/hour, company-paid training, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, PTO, bereavement and jury duty leave.

Free uniforms are provided and BCBS Blue Care is included. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on tractors, trailers, and forklifts, brake and steering inspections, oil changes, and repairing damaged

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in maintenance and repair work.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Basic set of tools needed to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Repair damage to containers, trailers, and chassis.
• Repair tears on the sides of containers.
• Replace lights.
• Tire repair.
• Landing gear repair.
• Frame repair.
