Job summary

Central Transport is seeking a skilled mechanic to maintain a large fleet of Class 8 tractors and trailers across the United States and Canada. The role requires troubleshooting electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and major component repairs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience.
• Basic set of tools.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
