Job summary

Central Transport in Detroit is seeking an entry-level truck trailer mechanic to help maintain our fleet across the United States and Canada. This role offers hands-on learning and a path into a skilled trade with room to grow.

You will work on decal removal and minor trailer body work, with physical tasks expected. Training and benefits are provided, including health insurance and paid time off.

Responsibilities Include:

• Removing decals from trailers to be repaired
• Minor body work on trailers

Physical Requirements:

• Work is considered heavy physical work requiring exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects.
• Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work.
• Must be able to: walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time

Prior mechanic experience in the auto industry is a plus!
