Job summary

Central Transport is hiring skilled mechanics to maintain a large fleet across the United States and Canada. The role offers industry-leading pay starting at $32/hour with company-paid training modules and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, PTO, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, and free uniforms.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, trailer repairs, brake inspections, oil changes, and repairs to containers, trailers, and chassis.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in required maintenance work
• ASE certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure safe operation
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment
• Repair damage to containers, trailers, and chassis
• Repairing tears on the sides of containers
• Replacing lights
• Tire repair
• Landing gear repair
• Frame repair
