You will coordinate with supervision to ensure safe, efficient yard operations, perform basic inspections, and use scanners and carts to manage shipments.

No previous experience required, but familiarity with safety procedures and teamwork will help in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required and DOT file maintained.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to use basic equipment such as scanners and dock carts.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard, doors, and yard locations as described.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management or central control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Follow safety processes for yard switching.
• Load and unload packages as needed, using hand-to-surface methods.
• Sort packages by reading labels and charts and comparing numbers.
