Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Pennsylvania seeks a Part Time Yard/Package Handler to support trailer movement, loading and unloading of packages, and safe, efficient yard operations. You will perform trailer switches, coordinate movements with central control, document actions, and conduct basic inspections to ensure safety and accuracy in sorting.

The role requires hands-on work, ability to lift and sort packages, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a DOT file.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and equipment used in loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and doors as defined, including switching and docking.
• Coordinate trailer movements with management and control.
• Document trailer moves using Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment.
• Safely handle and sort packages using required equipment.
• Load/unload packages from vehicles and conveyors as needed.
