Job summary

Cox Fleet is hiring a Shop Trailer Mechanic II for an on-site role. You’ll perform DOT inspections, PMs, and various trailer repairs, under supervision, in a shop setting. The position emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork.

Qualified candidates will have a HS diploma/GED, own tools, and DOT/FMCSA training or certifications are a plus. A valid driver’s license and 21+ age are required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with related field experience.
• Own set of hand tools.
• DOT and FMCSA training preferred.
• Pass DOT pre-employment background check and DOT medical card.
• Must be 21+ and have a valid driver’s license.
• ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and scheduled PMs.
• Diagnose and repair light, medium and heavy-duty trailer systems.
• Document work using Repair Orders (RO) and Karmak app.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and tools.
• Communicate with Shop Manager for repair estimates and approvals.
