Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Trailer Sales Manager to drive adoption of the Tapped Trailers platform and own market development.

You will partner with Sales and Marketing to onboard customers, set up prospects on the platform, verify insurance/DOT requirements, and resolve issues that arise during transactions. The role involves coordinating with the broader team for strategic planning, monitoring inventory and pricing, and traveling locally for quarterly sales gatherings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Transportation, or equivalent experience.
• Two years or more of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Operations, with a proven track record of onboarding new customers.
• Trailer or equipment industry experience is a plus, though not required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Sales and Marketing team to drive new customer on-boarding in launched and pilot markets
• Visit and set up prospects on the Tapped Trailers platform
• Verify proper requirements are met (i.e. insurance/DOT)
• Resolve customer complaints and issues related to the platform or transactions, and propose solutions for DOT violations, accidents, breakdowns, etc.
• Maintain customer satisfaction around rental transactions in multiple markets by holding sessions with customers to receive and incorporate feedback
• Monitor trailer inventory and customer profiles to ensure accuracy
• Work with the broader team on strategic planning and presentation of results to Ryder's Executive Team
• Monitor and maintain yield pricing in target markets
• Performs other duties as assigned
