Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in Phoenix, AZ to diagnose, repair, and maintain trailers at our service center. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday with various shifts and offers PTO after 90 days, plus an extensive benefits package including employee resorts.

Experience with safety inspections, parts repair, and testing equipment is required. Candidates should own their tools and be able to lift 50 lbs and work in varying climate conditions.

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts.

Trailer Mechanic, Hourly range is $25.25 - $35.76 hr. PTO available after the first 90 calendar days of employment and enjoy an excellent benefits package that includes our very own employee resorts.

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Phoenix, AZ Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
