Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for our Phoenix, AZ location. You will diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers, service tanks, and install/repair suspension components to meet safety standards.

Experience with air brake systems and TIG welding (optional) is valued. You will inspect trailers to DOT HM183 hazmat guidelines and work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with competitive pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical or electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair tasks on trailers.
• Install/repair trailer suspension components.
• Inspect and repair air brake systems to maintain safety.
• TIG welding in aluminum, stainless, or carbon steel (optional).
• Inspect tanks and trailers to DOT HM183 hazmat guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues on tank trailers and perform repairs.
• Carry out tank and trailer maintenance to ensure DOT compliance.

We are currently searching for mechanics with tank trailer repair experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

This position is for our Phoenix, AZ branch at 4030 W Lower Buckeye Rd.

Pay Range: $26.00 to $45.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
