Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for our Phoenix, AZ branch at 4030 W Lower Buckeye Rd. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing tank trailers, with emphasis on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Experience with air brakes and tank service is required.

Shift is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay ranges from $26.00 to $45.00 per hour, with skill-based reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Qualifications

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical, or other trailer systems.
• Tank service and repair.
• Trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs.
• TIG welding (aluminum, stainless or carbon) - optional.
• Inspect tanks and trailers to ensure DOT HM183 hazmat standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and perform repairs on tank trailers and related systems.
• Carry out tank service and repair tasks as directed.
• Install and repair trailer suspensions as needed.
• Maintain and service air brake systems.
• Perform TIG welding if required (optional).
• Inspect tanks/trailers for DOT HM183 hazmat compliance.

We are currently searching for mechanics with tank trailer repair experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

This position is for our Phoenix, AZ branch at 4030 W Lower Buckeye Rd.

Pay Range: $26.00 to $45.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
