Job summary

R+L Carriers in Dallas, TX is hiring a Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of trailers. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday shifts and competitive benefits.

You will perform safety inspections, interpret manuals, and ensure compliance with FMCSA standards while working with your own tools in a climate-controlled environment.

Trailer Mechanic, Earn up to $36.15 hr

Full-Time, Monday - Friday, Various Shifts

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our Dallas, TX Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements:

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred:

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
