Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a Trailer Mechanic at our China Grove, NC Service Center to perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on trailers. The role is full-time, 2nd shift from 3:00 pm to 1:30 am, Monday through Friday, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualified candidates will inspect, diagnose, and repair trailer systems, comply with FMCSA regulations, and have their own tools. Experience with Cetaris and Class 8 vehicles is a plus.

Qualifications

• Safety inspections of equipment and FMCSA/docs per regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals.
• Experience repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems.
• Test equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with specs.
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Own your own tools.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Willing to work in varying climate conditions.

Trailer AX Mechanic - $32.84- $36.15/hr.

Full-Time, Monday – Friday 2ND Shift – 3:00 pm to 1:30 am

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics at our China Grove, NC Service Center. As a Trailer Mechanic, your responsibilities will include the diagnostic process, repair work, and overall maintenance of our trailers.

Requirements:

• Experienced in performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), company, and any other Federal, State, or Local regulations
• Must be able to Interpret technical manuals
• Must have experience in repairing or replacing defective parts, components, or systems
• Experience in testing equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacturer’s specifications and legislated regulations
• Experience in trailer PMs and repairs
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must own your own tools
• Must be dependable
• Must be prepared to work in climate situation when needed.

Preferred:

• Experience using Cetaris Maintenance Work Order System
• Welding
• Experience driving yard tractor/trailers
• Previous experience working on Class 8 commercial vehicles
• Sheet metal and composite panel repair
