Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Trailer Mechanic with 2+ years of mechanical or tank trailer repair experience at our Charlotte location. Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. Pay ranges from $19.00 to $36.00 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical or tank trailer repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical, or other tank trailer systems.
• Experience with tank service and repair.
• Experience with trailer suspension installation and repair.
• Experience with air brake systems.
• Welding experience (TIG) is a plus.
• Ability to inspect tanks and trailers to meet DOT HM183 standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical, or other systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and repair tasks.
• Install and repair trailer suspension components.
• Repair and service air brake systems.
• Perform TIG welding as applicable.
• Inspect tanks/trailers to ensure DOT HM183 compliance.

Trailer Mechanic

We are currently searching for a trailer mechanic with 2+ years of mechanical and/or tank trailer repair experience at our Charlotte, NC location!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Pay Range: $19.00 to $36.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

(Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.)

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
