Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, systems, or civil engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5–10 years of experience in the related discipline.
• Active PE license required for civil candidates; EIT accepted for non-civil with plan to obtain PE in NC/SC within 6 months.
• Current US driver's license and ability to drive to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Design traffic signals and roadway lighting, including CAD work and field checks.
• Develop ITS, signal interconnection, and traffic technology designs.
• Coordinate with clients and other disciplines; prepare plans, specs, and estimates.
• Review survey data and topographic information for project planning.
• Provide technical oversight of Traffic Design Engineers.
