The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with two years of experience, IMSA Level I certification within a year, and the ability to prepare reports, review drawings, maintain inventories, and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with 2 years experience in traffic signal installation, operation and maintenance.
  • Must obtain IMSA Level I Certification within one year of employment.
  • Knowledge of traffic control systems and signal installations.
  • Ability to prepare reports, maintain logs, review drawings/plans; inventory management.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal/external personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair traffic signal, railroad crossing, and flashing school sign systems using various tools.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies; order as necessary.
  • Locate wiring for contractors and utility companies and assist with plans.
  • Prepare written reports and logs for monitoring programs and projects.
  • Assist in design and construction of traffic signal devices to meet safety concerns.
