The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, two years of related experience, and IMSA Level I certification within one year. Candidates must demonstrate ability to prepare reports, manage logs, review drawings, and coordinate with contractors and utility crews.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of traffic signal installation, operation and maintenance experience.
• Must obtain IMSA Level I Certification within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools, circuit testing and equipment to install, maintain and repair traffic signal, railroad crossing, and flashing school sign systems.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies and manage adequate levels; order supplies as needed.
• Locate wiring and prepare reports and records on traffic safety and statistical data.
• Provide routine traffic data to internal and external personnel on signal maintenance and activities.
• Operate equipment (man-lifts, trucks, tools) to perform installation, maintenance and repair of signal systems; perform splices, cable work, and terminations.
• Assist in designing traffic signal devices to meet control and safety needs of county roadways.
