The Clark County Public Works Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Traffic Systems Technician Supervisor position. This position supervises a team of Traffic Systems Technicians and oversees the maintenance of existing traffic signals, school flashers, activation of new signals, and other related duties.
This is an open and continuous recruitment, scheduling dates will vary depending on when the application was received and reviewed by Human Resources.
Education and Experience: Equivalent to graduation from high school and successful completion of an Electronics Technician or Technologist Diploma or Electrical Training Program, and five (5) years of skilled full-time experience in the maintenance and repair of electronic and electrical equipment, including one (1) year of full‑time lead or supervisory experience.

Working Conditions: Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at time of appointment and maintain during occupancy of position. Must obtain valid IMSA Level III certification within twelve (12) months from date of hire and maintain during occupancy of position.
This position requires valid crane operator's certification through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) within twenty-four (24) months from date of hire and maintain during occupancy of position.
Background Investigation: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.

Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician.

Mobility to work in a typical shop or related maintenance setting, including operating typical trade equipment, hand and power tools and standard office equipment, and to drive a motor vehicle to, and operate a lift or boom truck at various work sites; stamina to stand, walk and climb and to work in confined or awkward spaces or from aerial equipment for an extended period of time; strength to lift and maneuver materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds with proper equipment; vision to read printed materials; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over a radio or telephone.
