Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a senior leader to head a traffic and safety engineering section in the Central States region. You will manage 6-8 engineers, coordinate priorities, and drive successful project delivery from feasibility through construction.

Strong mentoring, staffing oversight, and budget control are required to maintain high-quality services for clients. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience, including leadership, and a PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of practical experience including 2 years of leadership experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred.
• 2 years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the section budget for the office.
• Leads and grows a team of 6-8 traffic and safety engineers.
• Coordinates staff assignments and project priorities.
• Oversees project delivery from feasibility to construction.
• Supports client discovery, proposals, and win-to-work activities.
• Maintains client relations and ensures client satisfaction.
• Recruits, develops and retains staff with performance reviews.
