Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a skilled engineer to lead planning, modeling, design and delivery of transportation projects in a multi-disciplinary team. You will develop traffic analyses and design plans, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients and partners to meet project schedules and budgets.

The role emphasizes planning work distribution, proposal support, and ensuring quality across disciplines for complex projects in the transportation sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5 years, or a PhD with 4 years.
• Experience developing traffic analysis models using VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic, HCS, FREEVAL, and Sidra.
• Design and prepare traffic signal, signing, pavement marking, and maintenance and protection of traffic plans.
• Strong collaboration across disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for planning and distribution of discipline-specific work and schedule adherence.
• Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Assists with scope of work and level of effort for projects within discipline.
• Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work; mentors staff.
• Coordinates technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
