Job summary

HNTB is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager in Oklahoma City to lead a team of traffic and safety engineers, guiding projects from feasibility through construction. You will manage budgets, staff allocations, and performance development while mentoring peers to lift overall team capability.

The role emphasizes coordination with multiple offices, sustaining client satisfaction, and advancing HNTB's strategic delivery practices across projects and pursuits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of practical experience including 2 years of leadership experience.
• Experience leading a team of 5–10 engineers.
• Ability to manage budgets and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages the section's operating budget and forecast updates.
• Leads discipline engineering staff, with staff development, mentoring and training needs.
• Supports SSA, SCA and SDA processes on projects and procurement activities.
• Coordinates work-sharing, client engagement and project delivery to ensure quality and schedule.
• Recruits, hires and retains section staff and manages performance reviews.
