Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking an experienced Traffic Supervisor to lead the Hawthorne Army Depot traffic management team on site in Hawthorne, NV. You will direct daily work, oversee shipping docs and reporting, coach staff, and maintain compliance across traffic operations.

Responsibilities include supervising bills of lading, carrier coordination, MTMS/ETA/ASIS systems, and ensuring timely, accurate data. Associate degree required; 3+ years of related experience with supervisory duties preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Transportation or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of traffic or transportation experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of government traffic procedures and transportation documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bills of lading processing, shipment classification, and carrier coordination.
• Train and coach Traffic personnel on procedures and regulations; provide performance feedback.
• Review regulations and reporting requirements; ensure timely traffic reports and data entry.
• Oversee MTMS, ETA, ASIS system use; ensure data accuracy and issue resolution.
• Coordinate carrier schedules and resources to meet shipment priorities.
• Maintain quality management and document-control; report safety and compliance concerns.
