Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to oversee security operations at Hawthorne Army Depot. You will supervise hourly security staff, assign posts, manage schedules, and direct incident response and emergency coordination on site in Hawthorne, NV.

The role requires strong supervisory ability, knowledge of SOPs, and the ability to coordinate with government stakeholders. Candidates must meet security clearances and training requirements as per contract.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in security, law enforcement, military, or related protective services; 1+ year in supervisory/lead role.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain required certifications under Master Training Plan.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned Security Operations personnel, direct daily work, assign posts, monitor performance and conduct coaching.
• Manage shift security operations per SOPs, policies, bargaining agreement, and security requirements; allocate resources and escalate risk as needed.
• Review and approve tier increases, address performance issues, initiate disciplinary actions, and provide input on employee status and qualifications.
• Lead response to security incidents and emergencies; act as Incident Commander when required; coordinate guard response with responding departments; ensure incident documentation is complete.
• Maintain shift reports and operational docs; conduct hands-on training and drills; update methods, SOPs, and shift practices; reinforce safety, confidentiality, and company standards.
