Manatee County Government is seeking a Traffic Management Center Technician to monitor traffic status using CCTV and detector data, and to assist with coordination across operations staff and external agencies.

The role requires familiarity with signal timing, software for traffic management, and the ability to provide timely information to senior technicians during incidents and events. Flexibility for rotating shifts and on-call duties is essential.

Competenze

• High school graduate/equivalent.
• Level I IMSA and/or ATSSA Signal Certification(s) and FDOT MOT Basic within one year of hire date.
• One year experience in a Traffic Management Center setting.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered."
• Technical experience in traffic, communications, computers, or electronics is desired.

Mansioni

• Monitor traffic status via CCTV cameras and GUI/detector data.
• Assist senior technicians with coordinating with external agencies.
• Notify Emergency Services of traffic events and coordinate responses.
• Package information from monitoring activities for review by seniors.
• Understand signal timing parameters and monitor connectivity with central systems.
