Job summary

Manatee County Government is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician in Bradenton, FL. The role installs, repairs, and maintains ATMS communications infrastructure, reads plans, and implements timing parameters for signal controllers. On-call after hours and routine field work are required.

The position requires a High school diploma, 3 years of experience, IMSA Level II, and a CDL Class B. Noise exposure and lifting up to 50 pounds are possible; safety-conscious applicants are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years relevant experience.
• IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Technician required.
• Valid Florida CDL Class B (w/air brake endorsement) or obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain ATMS communications infrastructure.
• Investigate signal operational and timing issues.
• Inspect construction projects involving signal system infrastructure.
• Maintain CCTV cameras and ATMS infrastructure.
• Assist with data management and emergency response efforts.
