Manatee County Government seeks a Traffic Control Communications Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair traffic signal systems and ATMS infrastructure. You will support timing plans, preventive maintenance, and system reliability across the community.

Work locations include 2101 47th Terrace East, Bradenton, with hours Mon–Fri 7:00 am–4:00 pm. A safety-sensitive role requiring CDL-B and IMSA credentials, plus after-hours rotations.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• Level II IMSA Traffic Signal Technician required.
• Valid Florida CDL Class B with air brake endorsement or eligible to obtain within 120 days.
• Equivalents may be considered in meeting qualifications.

Responsabilidades

• Install, repair, and maintain ATMS communications infrastructure.
• Investigate signal operational and timing complaints.
• Process paperwork and records; perform admin duties.
• Inspect construction projects involving signal system infrastructure.
• Install, maintain, and repair CCTV cameras and ATMS infra.
• Support engineering projects; data collection and evaluations.
• Respond to after-hours signal malfunctions.
• Test repair and upgrade of signal equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and system benchmarking.
• Review logs and audit controller operational data.
• Assist with construction or modification of signal systems.
