Job summary

Kapsch TrafficCom AG seeks a TMC Dispatcher/Operator for Kansas City Scout, based in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. You will monitor traffic flow via CCTV and DMS, dispatch emergency units, and coordinate first responders to restore traffic conditions.

Work with ATMS software, collect data for reports, and collaborate with agencies during shift changes. A high school diploma and proficiency with MS Office and data entry are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
• Proficient with computers and MS Office applications including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Ability to quickly enter and manage real-time data and act decisively.

Responsibilities

• Create and post messages for the region’s Dynamic Message Signs (DMS).
• View traffic conditions on CCTV and monitor traffic status.
• Communicate with emergency services and coordinators.
• Dispatch Emergency Response Personnel and coordinate with Motorist Assist units.
• Assist with data collection for various reports and shift changes.
