Job summary

Kapsch TrafficCom is seeking motivated individuals to join the Gateway Guide Traffic Management Center in Chesterfield, MO. As a TMC Operator, you will monitor roadway conditions using ITS technologies, coordinate incident response, and deliver timely traveler information to the public.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Windows-based systems.
• Comfort with using a multi-monitor workstation.
• Fast, accurate typing in a high-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and coordinate with responders.

Responsibilities

• Operate ITS technologies to monitor traffic using CCTV, sensors, and information systems.
• Identify and track incidents and roadway issues from various data sources.
• Coordinate and dispatch responses to roadway incidents via radio, phone, or internal systems.
• Input and manage data in real-time systems with accurate record-keeping.
• Prepare data for reports, including travel time and incident summaries.
