Job summary

The State of Indiana's INDOT Seymour District, Traffic Department, seeks a skilled supervisor to oversee maintenance operations and ensure timely work orders in winter operations and other seasons. Candidates should possess a valid CDL (Class A or B), a HS diploma or equivalent, and prior supervisory experience.

Travel may be required; drug testing is part of employment and there is a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B and obtain one within 90 days.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience considered.
• Supervisory experience of multiple employees, minimum 1 year.
• Knowledge of highway maintenance, safety standards, and OSHA basics.

Responsibilities

• Assign work to units and ensure materials/equipment are available.
• Oversee operations to meet work orders with minimal downtime.
• Provide supervision and feedback to staff; set expectations and evaluate performance.
• Support winter operations including snow/ice removal and equipment maintenance.
• Recruit, onboard, and train employees; coordinate schedules and workflow.
