Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL or obtain one within 90 days.
• Strong knowledge of highway maintenance, bridges, roads, and heavy equipment.
• Supervisory experience of at least 1 year required.
• Ability to schedule employee hours and coordinate winter operations.
• Willingness to travel with reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Comply with INDOT safety policies and procedures.
• Assign work to units ensuring materials and equipment are available.
• Ensure efficient use of personnel, time, and equipment.
• Provide supervision with clear purpose and program awareness.
• Oversee operations and maintenance to meet scheduled finish dates.
• Support winter operations including snow/ice removal and brine equipment maintenance.
• Recruit, onboard, and train staff for role clarity and development.
• Set expectations, monitor progress, and provide feedback on performance.
