Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Tampa, FL is seeking an ITS/Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience in transportation design, plan production, calculations, and documentation.

You will work with OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D, review field data, participate in field reviews and coordination meetings, and support administrative tasks while learning in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed 60 hours toward a Civil or Electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by Summer 2027.
• Experience not required for students in relevant bachelor programs.

Responsibilities

• Support ITS/Traffic Engineering team with transportation design, plan production, calculations, and project documentation.
• Assist with traffic signalization, ITS, signing, pavement marking, and related transportation design tasks.
• Utilize OpenRoads Designer and Civil 3D to support drawings and CAD production.
• Review field notes, as-builts, and existing conditions to support design development.
• Participate in field reviews and project coordination meetings.
