Mead & Hunt, Inc. invites you to join a limited-term, full-time summer internship with our Traffic Engineering & Advanced Mobility (TEAM) group in Baltimore. The role focuses on data collection, design support, and collaboration with engineers to improve transportation safety and mobility.

You will gain hands-on experience with CAD tools like MicroStation or AutoCAD, traffic simulation software, and standards research, while developing practical skills in a real project environment under mentors.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one transportation engineering related course.
• Prior related internship experience.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with traffic simulation software (e.g., HCS, Synchro).
• A passion to contribute to innovative solutions that improve our transportation systems.

Responsibilities

• Traffic data collection & field work.
• Use CAD and/or traffic modeling software to assist with engineering drawings, plan preparation, and project reports.
• Research MUTCD, AASHTO, and local standards to support design recommendations.
• Collaborate with professional engineers to brainstorm innovative safety / mobility solutions.
• Other tasks as assigned.
