Job summary

Mead & Hunt invites you to join our summer internship in the Traffic Engineering & Advanced Mobility (TEAM) group. This limited-term, full-time internship offers hands-on experience with traffic control devices, ITS applications, and corridor studies while collaborating with professional engineers.

You will perform data collection, assist with drawings using MicroStation or AutoCAD, and apply MUTCD/AASHTO standards. Emphasis on safety, teamwork, and contributing to innovative mobility solutions.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one transportation engineering related course.
• Prior internship experience.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with traffic simulation software (HCS, Synchro).

Responsibilities

• Traffic data collection & field work
• Use CAD and/or traffic modeling software to assist with engineering drawings, plan preparation, and project reports
• Research MUTCD, AASHTO, and local standards to support design recommendations
• Collaborate with professional engineers to brainstorm innovative safety / mobility solutions
• Other tasks as assigned
